“College access without support does NOT equal opportunity.”
Academic Acceleration, Not Remediation
At College Support Program CV, we reject slow, discouraging remediation in favor of day-one academic acceleration. We believe in building academic strength from the very first day of college—providing proactive coaching and immediate 1-on-1 tutoring at the first sign of a hurdle—so our first-generation, low-income scholars build lasting momentum, excel in rigorous coursework, and graduate.
Our MissionAt College Support Program CV, our mission is to empower first-generation and low-income (FGLI) scholars across the Coachella Valley to not only gain admission to four-year universities, but to navigate the critical transition into college, thrive in their majors, and earn their degrees.

Dennis Reed
After a successful 30-year career in print and advertising sales, Dennis relocated to the Coachella Valley in 2015. Driven to give back, he volunteered with local organizations before completing mentor training with the SMART HS program in 2017, where mentoring four-year college-bound students quickly became his primary passion.
Built on results, not a pitch.
College Support Program CV began in 2017 through high school mentorship in the SMART program. Building on those strong foundations, we expanded our focus to the university years—launching our BETA cohort in 2023 and our PILOT cohort in 2025. Today, we have transitioned into an independent non-profit organization (with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status pending) dedicated entirely to closing the gap between college acceptance and college graduation.
